Terms of Use & Purchase

These terms apply to your use of the Asja’s Thread Art website and purchases made through it. By using the site or submitting an order, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
1. Handmade Artwork
Each piece is handmade. Natural wood grain, knots, live edges, thread placement, color appearance, dimensions, and other handmade characteristics may vary slightly from photographs or measurements. These variations are part of the nature of handmade art and are not defects.
2. Product Information, Pricing and Availability
We try to keep product descriptions, dimensions, photographs, prices, and availability accurate. Colors can appear differently depending on lighting and screen settings. Prices and availability may change before an order is completed. If an obvious pricing, inventory, or listing error occurs, we may cancel or correct the order and issue any payment refund that is due.
3. Orders and Payment
An order is not accepted until payment is successfully completed or otherwise confirmed by Asja’s Thread Art. Payments are processed by our payment provider, currently Square. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order when reasonably necessary because of suspected fraud, an inventory error, an invalid price, inability to fulfill the order, or another legitimate business reason. If we cancel a paid order, the amount due back to you will be refunded through the applicable payment method or provider.
4. Shipping
Shipping is currently available within the United States only. Estimated processing and shipping information appears on our Shipping & Returns page and, when applicable, on individual product or custom-order pages. If we cannot ship within a promised time, we will provide any notice, cancellation option, or refund required by applicable law.
5. Returns, Exchanges and Shipping Damage
Because the artwork is handmade and one-of-a-kind, our general policy is that returns, refunds, and exchanges are not accepted except where required by law or where Asja’s Thread Art expressly agrees otherwise. If artwork arrives damaged, contact us promptly and follow the instructions on the Shipping & Returns page. Nothing in these terms limits a consumer right that cannot legally be waived.
6. Custom Orders
Custom artwork is created from details approved with the customer before production begins. Because custom work is made specifically for the purchaser, custom-order sales are final except where applicable law requires otherwise. Production timing is an estimate unless we expressly promise a specific shipment date.
7. Gift Certificates
Gift certificates may be used toward eligible purchases from Asja’s Thread Art, subject to the instructions provided at purchase or redemption. They are not redeemable for cash except where required by law. We do not impose dormancy or service fees on Asja’s Thread Art gift certificates. Gift-certificate records may be retained as needed to administer balances, prevent fraud, and meet accounting or legal obligations. If a gift certificate is lost or a code is disclosed to another person, contact us promptly; replacement or recovery may require verification of the original purchase.
8. Copyright, Photography and Intellectual Property
You may view the site and share a normal link to a page or product. You may not copy, download, reproduce, republish, sell, modify, remove watermarks or notices from, create commercial derivatives from, or use our photographs, product images, graphics, written content, logo, or other protected material for commercial purposes without prior written permission. Purchasing a physical artwork does not transfer copyright in photographs or other copyrighted materials associated with the artwork unless we agree in writing.
9. Acceptable Use
You may not misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access to the administration area or systems, interfere with security features, submit fraudulent orders, use automated tools in a way that disrupts the site, or use the site in violation of law.
10. Third-Party Services and Links
The website may use or link to third-party services such as Square, Etsy, hosting providers, shipping services, or email services. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for a third-party site or service outside our control.
11. Website Availability and Disclaimers
We work to keep the website accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the website is provided on an “as available” basis. These terms do not exclude warranties, remedies, or protections that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Asja’s Thread Art will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising solely from use of the website. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina and applicable federal law, without limiting any mandatory consumer protection that may apply based on where you live.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms when our website, business practices, or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date above identifies the current version. Changes apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise.
